Meet our Founders
Ganga Thapa
Producer, Arranger, Composer, Guitarist

Ganga Thapa is a musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer originating from Nepal. His ongoing interest in Nepali, Indian classical and West African music has led to a number of collaborations. He released his debut album ‘Namlo’ in 2017, which merged melodies and rhythms inspired by the diverse folk traditions, cultures and landscapes of Nepal. Ganga has been featured on BBC and played at the Southbank Centre, Liberty Festival, BT River Music Festival, London Jazz Festival, amongst others. He produced Sounds of the World live music concert series in partnership with British Arts Council, London. He is a registered Guitar Tutor of ABRSM and London College of Music.
Since moving back to Nepal, he launched Namlo Music Hub and brought his dynamic arrangements to the folk music scene in Kathmandu. Some of his productions include 'Tinpatey,' and 'Gumi Gumi.' Visit the production page to learn more about NMH Music arranging and producing.
Eileen O'Neall-Thapa

Heading up the Education spoke of Namlo Music Hub, Eileen is a music educator originating from California, U.S.A. and has been teaching music in classrooms around the world since 2005 including the COPPA program in the LA Unified School District, AG School in Darjeeling, the Pascale String Institute in Pasadena, and Woodstock School in Mussoorie. While her musical background is based in western-classical traditions, her student-centred approach focuses on musical embodiment using folk-music learning. She is a strong believer that everyone has the capacity to understand and express through music, and she is passionate about raising up the next generation of musicians with the understanding that music has the power to bring us together.
She is also founder of Creative Hope International, a non-profit that focuses on building music programs for under-served schools in the Himalayas.
